He  owned a vast illegal empire of gambling with his area streching from Florida to Las Vegas in the US during the 1930s. His links with the Mafia Benjamin Siegel proved a boost for his bank accounts drastically.

He had such an influencing personality that many of the movies of that time were based on him, namely, The Godfather series and Once Upon A Time In America.

Calculation of his total income comes to anywhere between $300-400 million. It also made him count  amongst the 400 richest Americans of that time.
