But soon he no more remained a common man. In 1997, he was arrested for running a prostitution racket in pretext of a parlor in Lajpat Nagar area. After the racket was busted, the people arrested included 2 airhostesses; one of them worked for an India carrier and the other was working with European Airlines.

After Dwivedi was released from jail, he took the safest path and proclaimed to be a godman and began calling himself Ichachadhari Sant Swami Bhimanand Ji Maharaj Chitrakoot Wale.
