New Delhi: Bar dancer Anu Mukherjee's life was devastated nine years ago when she was attacked by an assailant who threw acid into her face.  She not only lost her vision but also her zeal and strength to live.

But she received a ray of hope two months back when she was selected as the junior court attendant in the Supreme Court. Anu was selected during an initiative taken by  Justice Kurian Joseph.

Justice Kurian Joseph is one of the three apex court judges who looks into matters related to acid attacks.

"In my initiative, this job was given to her. I just came to know about the plight of this girl from media two months ago and I took the initiative," Justice Kurian Joseph said.
