CBI investigators are however taking Nagar's statement with a pinch of salt.

They have evidences of the minister calling up the rape victim to come to his home, the lady's gold chain was found on his bed, and the lady's clothes had traces of the minister's semen.

The rape victim has narrated her ordeal to investigators.

She alleged, on September 11, she went to the minister seeking a government job, and Nagar dragged her inside his bedroom, where he raped her.

CBI on Friday interrogated Nagar for six hours continuously after which the Congress leader was arrested. Nagar has already been suspended from the party.

Nagar however continued to stay firm on his statement that the sexual intercourse that took place inside his bedroom was with the consent of the lady.
