Although the village is known for holding India's first underground airbase station, but the ritual of marrying more than once, has proved to be a disgrace for the village.
A resident of Daresar village, Leela Meetha could not have a child with his first wife therefore he was forced to re-marry. According to the villagers, Leela was married when he was only 17. His first wife died when Leela was 55. Finally, Leela agreed to marry again and miraculously he fathered a daughter the next year.
