The Delhi High Court even accused Vikas Yadav of involvement in the Jessica Lal murder case.
On April 2, 2014, Delhi High Court upheld the Trial Court verdict of sentencing Life Imprisonment to both the accused brothers Vikas Yadav, Vishal Yadav and even the contract killer Sukhdev Pehalwan to life imprisionment.
On April 25th, 2014, Delhi High Court fixed the date May 16 as the date for hearing the arguments on quantum of sentence to be awarded to controversial UP politician DP Yadav's son Vikas and two others in the 2002.
But, on June 13th, 2014, Delhi High Court refused to give immediate relief to Vishal Yadav, one of the three life convicts in Nitish Katara murder case, on his plea seeking release of two sureties and his brother's passport deposited for his 10-day parole last month.
And recently, on November 11th, 2014, The Delhi High Court asked the city police how many inmates of Tihar Jail are given ‘A' class wards/treatment in government hospitals at the expense of the state, while referring to the number of hospital visits made by the convicts in the Nitish Katara murder case.
The query was made by a special bench of Justices Gita Mittal and J R Midha while hearing arguments on sentence to be awarded to the convicts Vikas Yadav and his cousin Vishal Yadav, in the case.
