"A case under IPC 354 (molestation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered," said a senior south district police officer. Cops may soon call Rawat for questioning.

Rawat was sworn in as a minister 25 days ago in the Harish Rawat government in Uttarakhand,  but has not been given any portfolio yet.

On being asked about the case Rawat said: "It is an effort to tarnish my image before the panchayat and Lok Sabha elections."

Police is probing  the case and it might question both the sides soon.
