The head constable who had received a call from Sudhir's native place visited the village and discovered that the rumors of a murder had already spread in the village.  

The villagers then told  the constable about the suspected murder following which Sudhir was taken into custody, where he confessed to the entire macabre incident.

Police is now searching for the pieces of  Deepti's body.
