A missing complaint was then lodged by Sudhir at Hudkeshwar police station. To make Deepti's missing report real, Sudhir even called up some friends and family members complaining that Deepti had left him after an argument.
Sudhir then became worried that someone might discover the buried packets. He then again went to Marudhra on September 26 in his brother-in-law's car.
Despite the intolerable stink, Sudhir dug out the plastic bags and headed to Wainganga River.
While on his way, his car got stuck in mud for which he had to call some villagers for help. The villagers noticed the foul smell. Sudhir was then seen by some villagers throwing pieces of the body into the river.
