The carpentry unit recorded a turnover of Rs 23,14,91,070 in the year 2012-13. Other reasons for the increased revenues were the enhancement of budget allocation and allocation of two new sheds to the carpentry unit.

Other than carpentry there are six units in the jail factory which include tailoring, chemical, weaving, paper and bakery where inmates work.
