The victim's father alleged that when he learnt about the shocking treatment given to his daughters, he tried to fight for them. But initially, he was pressured by his family and was asked to stay mum about the incident.

Not paying any heed to his family, when he approached the police to report the crime, the police officials turned him down and did not extend a helping hand.

However, based on the victims' statement, police later filed a case and the accused was arrested.
