Ahmedabad: A team of Delhi police today took custody of alleged mastermind of 2008 serial bomb blasts in Gujarat, Safdar Nagori, who has been lodged in Sabarmati central jail since 2008 in connection with a 13-year-old case.

Confirming the developments, special cell police inspector of Delhi police Shiv Kumar told media that Nagori was wanted by them in a thirteen-year-old case.

"In 2001, a case of unlawful activities had been lodged against him in Delhi. But since he never turned up during the court proceedings, we came here to take him into custody for further investigation," said Shiv Kumar, who was accompanied by another officer of special cell.
