Since 1888, people have been curious over the real identity of “Jack the Ripper”, but some researchers have recently come out with interesting claims. Russell Edwards has claimed in his book that “Jack the Ripper” was Polish immigrant Aaron Kosminski,. His book, Naming Jack the Ripper, was published in the UK on Tuesday, 9 September 2014.
The term "ripperology" was coined by Colin Wilson in the 1970s, to analyze the Ripper case.
The famous "Dear Boss" letter purportedly written by “Jack the Ripper” , dated 25 September, was postmarked 27 September 1888. It was received that day by the Central News Agency, and was forwarded to Scotland Yard on 29 September.
