Katara had received threats but his love knew no boundaries only till that fateful night of February 16, 2002 when Nitish and Bharti had gone to attend a common friend's wedding.

Bharti's mother, brother Vikas and sister Bhawna were also present in the party. Apparently Nitish and Bharti had danced together in the wedding which infuriated her brother Vikas Yadav.
