Girl molested, thrown out of running train by four youths in Karnataka

Bangalore, Jul 25: A 19-year-old girl was seriously injured  with head, neck and spine injuries after she was pushed out of a running train by four  youths as she resisted their attempts to molest her. 





The molesters' names  are: Akbar, Imran, Subhan and Ahmed, police said.  

Police said the girl was pushed out of Yeshwantpur-Mysore Express train near Maddur, about 63 km from here, yesterday and fell 25 feet below on the dry river bed of Shimsha.

The girl said, she first tried to ignore the youths who were trying to eve-tease her. She later got up from her seat and went near the door. The youths followed her and continued to misbehave. They pushed her out when she threatened that she would inform the  police.  

As the train had just left Maddur, it was moving at a slow speed on the bridge.  

A passenger who saw the girl being thrown out fromt he running train,  called Maddur police.  

She was taken to the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences, where she is being treated for injuries to the head, backbone and legs.  

The four men have been arrested, Mysore Additional Superintendent of Police Rajanna said.  

The girl, an employee of a garment factory in Bangalore, was travelling to her hometown Mysore on leave to spend time with her grandmother.
