Bangalore, Oct 21: A man and his wife allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Doddalbalallapura in Bangalore rural district today while their teenaged daughters have been hospitalised, police said.

While the couple died their daughters, aged 19 and 15 have been admitted to a government hospital in that town, where the condition of the elder girl is reportedly serious.

The man was working as an accountant in a private factory at Yeshvanthpur area here.

Police suspect financial problems could have been the reason for them taking the extreme step.

No suicide note was found near their bodies, they said.
