In another spine chilling case of honour killing, a woman was burnt alive with her husband in Raksha Basatpur village in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district. Her family said that they punished her for remarrying after the death of her first husband.
According to police, Raj Kumari alias Radha Devi and her husband were killed by her brothers. The reason behind this brutal act was that Radha was a widow and decided to marry a local tea vendor.
Both the husband and wife were beaten harshly by Radha's brothers and were later set on fire. Reportedly the bodies were burnt to destroy the evidence of crime.
Police suspected the village panchayat for punishing the couple for marrying.
