Soon after the incident, a message was flashed mentioning the number of her car but she could not be nabbed immediately.

However, police was later able to identify her through the car's paperwork.

Although the woman, who works with the German Embassy in Chanakyapuri area, is an Indian citizen and does not enjoy diplomatic immunity, she has not been arrested so far.

When contacted, a senior police official said they have registered a case and the woman's address and other credentials have been traced and she can be arrested in this connection.

Police have registered a case under IPC sections 186 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty).
