The juvenile accused was produced before the board for nearly half an hour. For the first time, the gangrape victim's (Damini) parents saw the juvenile before the board.
The Juvenile Justice Board is trying the minor- one of the five accused in the sensational case that had sparked national outrage.
The accused was minor at the time of incident but he turned major on June 4.
If he is declared guilty, the maximum punishment he would receive will be of three years and he will be kept for three years in th children's remand home till the age of 21.
