According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that one does not find peace after death if one dies with unfulfilled wish in his or her heart. Following folklore, Damini's soul would not find solace till the people behind her miseries receive their just dues.

That fateful night of December 16 led to a mass of angry people filling up the roads of Delhi and reached up to  Rashtrapati Bhawan to express their rage.
