Jain suspected his wife's fidelity and was under the impression that she was in a relationship with Garg.
 
"Jain approached a private detective Chandrashekhar to acquire the call data records of his wife. As he was having a pending divorce case against her, he thought that this would be substantial proof to get easy divorce from her," a police official said.
 
Chandrashekhar then contacted constable Lalit Kumar who obtained the CDR of the lawyer.
