A resident of Hinjwada area, Anand was an alcoholic which led to fights and household disputes.

According to police, Anand was jobless and at the same time was addicted to alcohol. He kept asking for money to buy alcohol from his parents and wife.

Yesterday, his parents refused to give him money following which he abused them and left the house. After his parents left for work, he came back and asked money from his wife. Infuriated with the denial, Anand hit Sarika with a tractor  implement  on his head, belly and feet.
