CBI told the court that Rajesh Talwar's elder brother Dinesh Talwar, who is also a doctor, had asked his colleague to tell K K Gautam, who was an influential police officer of  Uttar Pradesh, to remove the word `rape' from his report.

Also, Hemraj's DNA extracted from the blood stained hand print matched with the DNA taken from the bottle. This was used an evidence by the CBI to prove its theory that the murderer of Aarushi and Hemraj was no outsider. It was that Hemraj's body was dragged to the terrace area from Aarushi's room after which it was covered with a cooler lid and the door leading to terrace was then locked up.
