Kanpur: A 14-year-old child's body was today found hanging from a tree in Chakeri area here, police said. "Manish's body was found hanging from a tree close to his house in Chakeri's Shiv Katra area this morning," a police spokesperson said.

Munna, the victim's father, alleged that his son had been missing from last two days and he has reported it to the police, but the police spokesperson said Manish had been missing only from last evening.

Two persons have been detained for questioning, however, they have rejected the murder charge, the spokesman said, adding that the matter was being investigated.
