A video is getting viral on social media in which inmates in the Unnao jail can be seen brandishing weapons and drinking liquor.
"A report on the incident has been sent to higher officials, strict action will be taken within 1-2 days," ANI quoted AK Singh, Jail Superintendent, as saying, on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, State Minister Siddharth Nath Singh on Thursday said that the government will take “strict action.”
“Government, as well as jail DG, have taken cognizance of the incident and strict action will be taken. In the days to come you will see no such small incidents. Nobody is allowed to take law in their hands in Yogi Raj,” the minister said.
