Woman commits suicide over family dispute in UP
After poisoning her two children to death, a 36-year-old woman committed suicide over a family dispute in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Thursday. The incident was reported from Shamli district of the state on Wednesday.
Identified as Rachna, the woman at Gogvan Jamalpur village allegedly mixed some poisonous substance in a soft drink and offered the same to her children. She then herself consumed the substance.
The two children were identified as Mansi (10) and Vikrant (8).
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Nemi Chand, a family dispute was stated to be the reason behind the incident. Investigations in the case are, however, on.
