A 20-year-old woman was battling for life in a hospital after she was stabbed by her boyfriend at Bagambila in Karnataka, police said on Saturday.
According to police, Deeksha, who was stabbed multiple times by Sushanth, 20, in broad daylight on Friday, has been admitted to a private hospital. Her condition is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, Sushanth, who has been arrested, tried to commit suicide by slitting his throat.
He is reportedly out of danger now and is being quizzed by the police in a prison hospital.
Doctors treating Deeksha have administered her more than 14 bottles of blood besides conducting surgeries, informed sources said.
