Two men, including a Delhi Police head constable, allegedly committed suicide in two separate incidents, the police said on Saturday.
In the first case, Ravinder Meena, 40, a head constable posted at the control room in South district, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his quarters in Police Colony, Tilak Nagar.
"We received a PCR call about 6 p.m. on Friday made by a woman that her husband had consumed liquor during the day and now was not opening the door. When the police reached there, Meena was found hanging from the ceiling fan. He was rushed to DDU Hospital, where he was declared brought dead," said a senior police officer.
The family members did not alleged any foul play.
In the second incident, an alleged suicide was reported at Govindpuri police station on Saturday morning.
"We received a call that a person had fallen from a building, following which a team reached the spot and found a man lying in a pool of blood," said a senior police officer.
The deceased was identified as Vinod kumar Prajapati, a resident of Sagar in Madhya Pradesh. A tailor by profession was living on rent at Tughlaqabad Extension.
Vinod was reportedly depressed due to poor financial condition. The police had contacted his family, the police said.
No foul play was suspected during an initial enquiry, the officer added.
