The accused, Ravinder Kaur (40), a native of village Kala Nangal in Gurdaspur’s Batala area, pulled out the foetus because she wanted to nurse it as her own. However, the foetus died within minutes of the incident.
The reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained.
Video of the incident has gone viral. Group of girls which the woman "wanted raped" cornered the woman demanding an apolgy on camera.
Dinesh Dixit visited the house many times in the past as well. The prime motive behind the murder was robbery, said police.
