India TV Restructures: MD Ritu Dhawan Also Given CEO Responsibility; India Today’s Manoj Sharma Roped In As Group Biz Head
In line with its expansion plan, which includes the launch of at least two new channels and a renewed focus on its digital plans in the coming months, India TV has implemented organisational restructuring.
The company is also in the process of making several senior level appointments. The first step in that direction would see Managing Director Ritu Dhawan being given the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer. Executive Director RK Arora has been given the additional responsibility of Chief Financial Officer.
The first among the new appointments at the company is that of Manoj Sharma, who joins India TV as Group Business Head. Sharma brings in a total of 20 years of experience, of which 18 years have been with the India Today Group. He would have the responsibility of business expansion of all group companies, including Independent News, India TV Interactive, Independent Media, Studio Brahma and India TV Mission.
India TV officials confirmed the developments and stated that in the coming months the company shall be identifying more senior level personnel for the channels to be added.
