Rajnandgaon Election Results 2024: Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel lost his poll battle against sitting BJP MP Santosh Pandey in Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat in Chhattisgarh, but managed to reduce the saffron party's victory margin to 44,411 votes. Baghel, a former chief minister, polled 6,67,646 votes, while Pandey secured 7,12,057 votes. Baghel's defeat is a big embarrassment for Congress as he is the biggest face of the party in Chhattisgarh.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP candidate Abhishek Singh won the seat bagging 643,473 votes with a vote share of 54.61 per cent. On the other hand, Congress' Kamleshwar Verma got 407,562 votes with vote share 34.59 per cent. Singh defeated Verma by a margin of 235,911 votes.
