Chhattisgarh news: Six persons were injured and one man lost his life in a blast at an explosives manufacturing factory in Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district today (May 25), officials said. The explosion occurred in the unit located near Pirda village in Berla development block, a district administration official said.
On blast at an explosive factory in Bemetra, Assistant Professor, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Dr Shivam Patel said, "Total seven patients were brought here. Out of which one was brought dead, the rest six patients are undergoing treatment. The situation of six patients is stable and they are out of danger. Fractures can be confirmed only after the X-ray."
Soon after being alerted, police and rescue teams were rushed to the site, he said. “So far, six people have been reported to be injured in the explosion,” he said, adding that the injured are being shifted to the hospital. The incident comes days after a blast in a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Thane district which killed nine persons and injured over 60.
