BMW motors have done the unbelievable, a car that would park itself in the parking space on its own...doesn't that sound great?
Parking cars always had been a pain in the neck of drivers especially in and around crowded parking spaces. Now thanks to BMW motors, their latest feature named ‘Remote Valet Parking Assistant' will blow your mind for sure.
This feature enables your car to find a suitable parking space and gets parked on its own. The driver just needs to get out of the vehicle and give a voice command to the smart watch and the car will park itself, on return you just have to speak to the watch; the car will find its way back to you.
You don't need any valet to park your car!
This technology is being tested on BMW's i3 vehicles; this amazingly designed feature will look out for the parking space and recognize which ones are empty.
Instead of using GPS technology, this system uses four laser scanners on the car to create a virtual map of the building to navigate. The company says, "The four laser technology is more precise than the existing GPS systems".
This technology also has features like 360-degree collision avoidance system. In case the collision becomes imminent the car stops on it own. It uses the laser scanners to record the environment and identify obstacles such as columns and walls.
