Like how big-fat Punjabi weddings are, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception in Mumbai at the St Regis, Lower Parel on Tuesday and the star-studded gala was the talk of the town.
While many from the Bollywood to cricket attended Virushka’s reception, Indian skipper Virat Kohli set the tone for the party when he danced with his teammate Shikhar Dhawan’s son Zoravar. A video has emerged for the same and it’s a treat to watch. Virat took little Zoravar in his arms and literally made themselves the centre of attraction when they started grooving. Here's the video:
Everyone including Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma danced their hearts out. Shah Rukh Khan, who has worked with Anushka in movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Harry Met Sejal, was seen having a gala time at the reception. He was seen reciting words from a poem from his movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan while Kohli was trying to act accordingly before his wife.
The list of invitees that graced the occasion included former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma from the cricket fraternity and Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Rekha, Kangana Ranaut were a few from Bollywood.
Anil Kumble, who had stepped down as coach following differences with Kohli earlier in the year, also attended the event. Former skipper Sunil Gavaskar also attended the occasion to bless the lovely couple.
Post the Mumbai reception, Virat and Anushka will travel to South Africa where Virat Kohli will start prepping for the upcoming series. The couple will celebrate the New Year together before Anushka returns to India in the first week of January 2018.
