Sunil Chhetri and team beat Kenya by 3-0

Indian Football team led by Sunil Chhetri has made India proud. After captain Chhetri’s emotional video of asking for support from their country, Mumbai flooded the grounds and witnessed a grand win as the boy beat Kenya in the second Intercontinental Cup match by 3-0. The win became very special for the team as the entire ground supported them like crazy.

The match was even special as it was Captain Sunil Chettri’s 100th match and he led the team to a huge win by scoring two goals. Jeje Lalpekhlua too, scored a goal for India, thus helping the team come closer to victory. Just a few days back, the 33-year-old captain posted a video saying, “Today I am not making a video for you guys. I am gonna speak and appeal to all of you who did not come. To everyone who is not a football fan, please come and watch us for two reasons. No. 1 – it’s the best game in the world and No. 2 – we play for our country. We will make sure that once you come to watch us, you will not return the same person back home.” This made people ignore the downpour and come to the stadium for a hearty match.

But the support was not limited to the ground as after the win, Netizens showered praises on the players for sweeping the title home. Have a look!
