Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta's mehendi ceremony
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta will be tying the knot on March 9 and netizens are quite excited for it. The eldest son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd and daughter of diamond merchant Russell Mehta will take wedding vows in a lavish wedding ceremony at Mumbai tomorrow. The extravagant affair will be attended by a bevy of celebrities from sports, films and politics. However, ahead of their wedding, the couple hosted a mala and mehendi function, which was a private ceremony. Though guests were urged to not share details on social media, a handful of pictures and videos have made their way to the internet giving us a glimpse of the function. The celebration, which took place at the Dome, NSCI in Worli was decorated with fresh flowers and light.
In one of the videos, bride-to-be Shloka can be seen performing on Din Shagna Da along with her mom Mona Mehta. In another video, Mehta and family can be seen grooving to Iski Uski from 2 States. Akash Ambani's sister Isha Ambani, who tied the knot with Anand Piramal a few months back also attended the ceremony. She looked beautiful in white lehenga paired with diamond jewellery.
Earlier, the families came together for Anna Seva where they served 2000 underprivileged children. They also inaugurated the Dhirubhai Ambani Square at Bandra's Jio World Centre. The wedding festivities kickstarted with dandiya night and then three-days bash in Switzerland.
On March 3, Akash and Shloka hosted a Harry Potter-themed bash for their guests. From the platform 9 3/4 to the exact replica of the dinner table at Hogwarts, the pre-wedding bash was a complete fun affair. Also, popular singer Guru Randhawa performed live for the audience and made them groove to some of his chartbusters.
