Remember that video of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. star David Schwimmer’s lookalike going viral on the internet last month in which the man is caught stealing beers from a grocery story on CCTV? Well, good news after a month, UK police has now claimed that they have arrested the 36-year-old man. The video took over social media when the Police shared his video and asked for a man who resembles Ross from the most popular tele series.
The video earned so much attention from all over the world that even David Schwimmer had to clarify that it wasn’t him through his Twitter. The actor in the tweet swore it wasn’t him and he was in New York. He also shared a spoof video in which he recreated the alleged theft from a restaurant in Blackpool.
Now, the Lancashire Police on Tuesday took to Twitter to inform that they have arrested a 36-year-old man in Southall on suspicion of theft of a coat, cell phone and wallet at a restaurant in Blackpool on September 20. The tweet read, “Following the appeal we posted looking for a man who resembles a well-known actor, we now have an update. Thanks to our colleagues @MetPoliceUK, a 36-year-old man was arrested in Southall last night on suspicion of theft. Thank you for the support, especially @DavidSchwimmer!”.
