Rajasthan Police use hilarious Thugs of Hindostan meme for cyber-security awareness

Thugs of Hindostan released on silverscreen and is slowly dwindling down in terms of box office numbers. Although, the buzz around it, be it good or bad, remains. Cashing on the ongoing hullabaloo about the film, the official handle of Rajasthna police sketched out a hilarious Thugs of Hindostan meme to raise awareness about cyber ‘thugs’ a.k.a. hackers among the public. Sharing a poster of Thugs of Hindostan, they wrote, ‘Beware of online Thugs’.

“#Thugs~ धोखा स्वभाव है हमारा।#RajasthanPolice~ और धोखा से लोगों को सावधान करना व उनकी मदद करना हमारा।

Beware of #OnlineThugs as they can decieve you.

In case of #OnlineFrauds, visit your nearest PS or #Call100.

Mumbai Police was also not left behind. It also made the best use of Thugs of Hindostan Twitter trend for public service. They used the film’s popular dialogue, ‘Dhokha swabhav hai mera’ to warn people about cybercriminals.

Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan beats Sanju, becomes Amitabh Bachchan’s first Rs 100 crore film

However, Mumbai police used the meme back in September, when the Aamir Khan’s film trailer was just released. It wrote, “No place for Thugs in Mumbai #NoCityForThugs.”

Mumbai Police’s social media has always been on point. They’ve used some really popular internet memes to catch people’s attention to things that they need to know.

Recently, Mumbai police used Bollywood movie Humari Adhuri Kahani reference to warn people about the deadly effects of not wearing a seat belt. It wrote, ‘You can ensure living happily every after #ReelNamesRealLessons #WearASeatBelt’

On a related note, Thugs of Hindostan minted some humongous numbers at the box office on its day 1, being the highest opening Bollywood film ever. However, the collection started dwindling right from the day 2. On Monday, the Aamir Khan film managed to earn Rs 5.50 crores, which is a drastic fall. The film opened to mixed reviews from the critics with audience bashing the film for not living up to their expectations.
