Madhya Pradesh man throws party for son after he fails in Class 10 Board exams!

We all remember the whip we used to get if score low marks in any of our subjects, let along getting an ‘F’. While most of the parents would thrash or at least reprimand their child for scoring low in their examination, this out of the ordinary father in Madhya Pradesh threw a party for his son when he flunked his class 10 board examinations on Monday. A civil contractor, Surendra Kumar Vyas in Bhopal threw an impromptu party for his son’s failure and took the entire town by surprise.

This odd celebration consisted of firecrackers, sweets and shamiyana, all that’s required to host a lavish party. Talking to a leading daily, he explained the motive behind this. He said, “This is how I want to motivate my son. After failing in exams, children go into depression and some of them even take the extreme step of ending their lives. I want to tell such children that boards are not the last exams. There is much more to come in life,” he said, adding, "My son can reappear in the exam again next year."

His son, impressed by his father’s reaction, said, “I appreciate my father. I promise to study more in the next academic session to pass with excellent marks.”

This bizarre party was attended by the friends and neighbours in huge numbers.

This move might seem as bizarre to many, but if you pay attention to the father's motive behind it, you can't stop appreciating spirit. Every year, after the results of board examinations are out, many young students end up their life scared of facing their parents on scoring low marks. If every parents start thinking the way Surendra did, there will be a significant decline in the number of suicides around this time every year.
