Just as the teaser of much-awaited film Kalank starring the talented bunch of actors, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha, dropped on the internet, netizens went berserk with the most hilarious memes and trolls featuring the dynamic dialogues from the two-minute-long video. There is no denying that the Kalank teaser managed to send chills down our spine with its larger than life sets and powerful background score. While Alia Bhatt enchanted the viewers with her dialogue "Humse zyaada barbaad aur koi nahi iss duniya mein", Varun Dhawan charmed with Kuch rishte karz ki tarah hote hain, unhe nibhaana nahi, chukana padta hai". Before the teaser launched, the makers as well as the actors of the film gave a sneak peek into their characters in the film and introduced them to the audience in the most creative way. While Alia Bhatt plays the role of Roop, Varun Dhawan will be seen as Zafar. Aditya Roy Kapur will be known as Dev, Sonakshi Sinha as Satya, Madhuri Dixit as Bahaar Begum and Sanjay Dutt as Bajraj Chaudhary.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will be seen together for the fourth time on the big screen with Kalank. Infact, the film will also mark the reunion of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt after 21 years. Earlier, Bahaar Begum was supposed to eb played by late Bollywood diva Sridevi. Post her sudden death, the role was offered to the dancing queen Madhuri Dixit. Talking about the same, the actress told Mid-Day in an interview, “I don’t want to let her down. Bahaar Begum is poles apart from Chandramukhi or anything I have done before. It was a challenge to play her with grace and heart.”
