In a shocking incident, a Chinese woman was so concerned about the safety of her bag that she refused to let it out of her sight for a second. The commuter worried that her valuables may be swiped as they passed through train station security. To eliminate this possibility, she shocked onlookers by crawling into the X-ray machine with her purse. An unbelievable picture shows the unnamed woman on all fours on the conveyor belt, while staff stood watching, apparently speechless.
Bizarrely, the woman was happy to put her suitcases through the machine before walking through the security checkpoint holding the smaller handbag. Security staff told her that this bag would also have to be checked and she reluctantly circled back to the airport-style luggage scanner.
Too speechless to intervene, train station staff allowed the woman to go through the X-ray with her items. The commuter then hopped off the conveyor belt and left with all her valuables intact. Watch the video here.
It’s still not known why the woman climbed into the X-ray machine. They still haven’t figured what was so special in her luggage or so prized that she had be right next to it the whole time.
While the story has given locals a laugh, Dongguan Railway Station has warned others not to put themselves through the scanners. Doing so can be harmful as the machines emit radiation.
