Take a quick look at this photograph, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
Many of you would normally say, a smartly dressed lady having an argument with a protestor being held by police.
But it is precisely where we are being misled!
This is an incident which took place at Ros Sare in London, and the woman in the photograph is trying to placate this man.
On this lovely sunny day, the woman in photograph and her husband were waiting to receive their son at the airport.
So the couple decided to catch a tube, also planned to watch a play at theatre to spend some time in between their son's flight.
It was when she wandered down the regent street, unaware of the protest; saw people shouting slogans and protesting against poll tax.
Suddenly, a line of 10 riot police with batons and shields started chasing the protestors away.
It was at this time she came across this man, who was acting frantically even in the hands of police.
She advised him to calm down or he would get himself arrested, to which he responded pointing towards 5 policemen holding down a girl with her throat against the railing, shouting "She's got my girl!"
Ros' appalled husband went to the police and asked them to let go of the girl immediately.
Surprisingly the police complied, and left both of them. Now since the couple were united, Ros told them to rush away.
A few days later Ros stumbled upon this image with caption, "A west end shopper argues with a protester" in a news daily.
She then wrote a letter to the newspaper to clear the air, telling them she was actually trying to calm him down.
