New Delhi: Shane Warne, the Australian spin bowling great, was bitten by a snake in a reality show "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" It happened when he dipped his head into a box full of the reptiles during the task and the Anaconda nibbed on his head.
Anacondas have 100 rear-facing teeth. Being bitten by one is like getting 100 hypodermic needles at once. So we can only imagine the pain he might have gone through.
Though interestingly, Shane Warne didn't quit the task midway after it.
"Shane has made no secret that snakes are one of his greatest fears so it's amazing that after being bitten he bravely continued with the trial," executive producer Stephen Tate told the Daily Telegraph.
However, Shane received treatment from medics on the stricken area and though he has some small marks from the bite, there will be no permanent scarring.
The promo clip of the episode shows the 47-year-old fighting his biggest fear with great determination.
He has survived two weeks in the show despite facing disgusting trials, which shows he wants to win the show. Good luck Warne.
