An online filmmaker experimented this with a beggar, but the result was far from his expectations.
Josh Paler Lin, a Youtube personality known for viral video pranks, intended to expose the dubiousness of a homeless person, but what eventually transpired shocked him to the core.
He handed a $100 bill to a beggar in Los Angeles to check what he actually does with that money.
Josh started secretly following his movements with his camera. Initially, the beggar went to the liquor mart, Josh thought, his premonitions were correct, “The beggar is going to buy liquor and wasting himself.”
But to his surprise, the tramp bought some food from the mart, and then went straight to a park where he shared the food with other homeless people.
The filmmaker was surprised by the results of his experiment. He later admitted that he not only helped a homeless man, but he also met an incredible human being.
Taken aback by the homeless guy's noble gesture he took the man out for dinner and rented him a hotel room for a night.
He also gave him his contact no. along with an extra $100 bill.
Later it was revealed that the beggar named Thomas left his job to look after his ailing parents, but after their death he couldnot afford to to pay for his condo.
Although, a few netizens have raised eyebrows doubting this whole affair to be staged, but Josh maintains it all developed naturally.
Josh also set a fundraising page on indiegogo for helping him, hoping to raise $10,000 but it has already received more than$35,000.
