New Delhi: Hogging most of the limelight these days is business tycoon Vijay Mallya. Lately, the man has been at the forefront of every leading news portal; albeit for all the wrong reasons.
Mallya’s high-flying business ventures and swanky parties have been the cause of much debate, especially in view of his dwindling business empire, rising loans and unpaid salaries to his employees. Under fire for an alleged loan of Rs 9000 crore by his group, Mallya still has his reputation at stake.
Courtesy the raging controversy, every little tittle-tattle about the liquor baron, whether about his past or present, becomes an important topic these days.
Presently, it is one of his old interviews, that is floating around the internet. The questions asked to him during the conversation, are worth a hear, and so are his answers.
Back in 1998 in Circa, Mallya was asked about is feelings on being India’s Donald Trump, to which he had replied, “Well, I don't know Mr Trump personally, I've read a lot about him. He obviously likes to live his life, as I indeed do... but not yet anywhere near bankruptcy."
Well, little did he know then what the future had in store for him!
