New Delhi: A rare giant creature estimated to be at least 200 years old has been found in a cave in China.
This salamander, which is 4.5 feet long and weighs 114 pounds, is believed to be the largest living amphibian. Animals with such great heights are rare these days.
The amphibian was discovered by a Chinese fisherman Wang Yong in a cave of Chongqing district in southwest China.
The giant Chinese salamander also known as 'wa wa yu' or 'baby fish' in China because it sounds like a baby.
Wang Yong was shocked when he saw a giant creature which is 'soft and slimy'. He immediately called wildlife experts upon spotting it.

Realising that it was ill, experts soon moved the amphibian to a nature preserve.
The animal is believed to have been born 200 years ago. At that time, Napoleon was ruling France and United States, Canada and the UK were at war with each other.
