Reliance Jio on Sunday began shipping the JioPhone, its low-cost 4G feature phone, which was launched last month with much fanfare. The company said it aims to deliver 6 million units by Diwali. Customers in rural areas and small cities will get the handset before their counterparts in urban areas, a PTI report citing a Reliance Jio channel partner said.
The booking of JioPhone had started in August and it crossed 6 million within a matter of days, forcing the company to stop the process.
Jio's official @LYF_In channel had earlier tweeted that the deliveries of the handset have commenced in a phased manner "to avoid inconvenience" and all customers who pre-booked Jio Phone will get their units by Diwali, which falls on October 19 this year.
As before, the company says customers will get SMSes regarding the status of their Jio Phone delivery date.
However, if you are getting impatient and want to track your delivery status, there are ways to do that.
Here's how you can track the delivery status of your JioPhone:
1. You can log on to the company's website and go to the track order page and enter the order number to know the status of your delivery.
2. Open MyJio app and track your orders from within the application using your registered number.
3. If you do not have MyJio app, download it and follow the above step.
