Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday asked industrialists to plan a long-term strategy for investment in the state. He promised all support to them.
"I propose that each of the industry captains present here, plan a long-term strategy for investment in the state over the next 10 years," Patnaik said at the plenary session of the 'Make in Odisha Conclave 2018'.
Noting that Odisha offers vast opportunities, the chief minister said: "We can work together towards developing Odisha as a manufacturing hub of South Asia.
Stating that the first edition of the 'Make in Odisha Conclave' held in 2016 was a huge success, Patnaik said there were 124 investment intents, worth over Rs 2 lakh crore and employment opportunities for more than one lakh people.
On Sunday, Patnaik inaugurated the 'Make in Odisha Conclave'. Around 800 industrialists will join in the conclave.
On the occasion, Patnaik said that the state is full of business and growth opportunities.
"I welcome you to discover the enormous business and growth opportunities that the state offers, and also the all-round development the state has seen in the past two decades," he said, reported IANS.
The Expo focuses on showcasing the industrial prowess of the state, he said.
Most of the industries operating in Odisha will display their success stories, CM added. It is the second edition of 'Make in Odisha Conclave'. It will continue till November 15.
