Prices of petrol and diesel witnessed a marginal decrease on Friday. While petrol price was cut by 6 paise, diesel saw a decrease of 5 paise per litre. In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 78.29 per litre, while diesel price has been revised to Rs 69.20 a litre.
The revised Petrol prices in other metro cities are - Rs 80.92 in Kolkata, Rs 86.10 in Mumbai and Rs 81.28 in Chennai.
Meanwhile, the revised Diesel price was Rs 71.75 in Kolkata, Rs 73.67 in Mumbai and 73.06 in Chennai.
However, rates of LPG cylinders went up by up to Rs 77 on Friday. While subsidised LPG cylinder became dearer by Rs 2.34, non-subsidised cylinder would now cost Rs 48 more. Price of commercial LPG cylinders, used in hotels, restaurants, has gone up by a whopping Rs 77, reports said.
Price of subsidised LPG cylinder in Delhi is now Rs 493.55, Kolkata- Rs 496.65, Mumbai - Rs 491.31 and Chennai - Rs 481.84. The new rates will be applicable from today.
