Stock markets jump in early trade; Sensex gains 414 points, Nifty above 19,250

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth Rs 4,236.60 crore on Wednesday, according to exchange data.
Sensex Nifty today: Indian stock indices extended losses from the previous session and edged sharply lower today, tracking weak overnight US markets coupled with rising global crude oil prices amid the strengthening of the US dollar.
Sensex rose 319.63 points to close at fresh lifetime high of 67,838.63 while Nifty climbed 89.25 points to record 20,192.35. This bullish trend was further supported by the performance of individual stocks.
Sensex rose at 260 points, currently trading at 67,729 points. Nifty rose at 87 points to 20,157 points today.
The 30-share BSE Sensex regained the 67,000 level. The benchmark jumped 528.17 points or 0.79 per cent to settle at 67,127.08. During the day, it rallied 573.22 points or 0.86 per cent to 67,172.13.
According to sources, Tata seeks control of Haldiram's but snack maker wants USD 10 billion valuation which (high valuation) is seen as a major roadblock.
Sensex-Nifty: In the Nifty segment, 47 firms witnessed advances, while only four recorded declines, with none remaining unchanged.
The NSE Nifty declined 13.85 points or 0.07 percent to finish at 19,646.05.
Sensex opened up at 353.34 points and currently trading at 65,071.90, an all-time high.
Eid-al-Adha 2023: On Tuesday, the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange put out circulars in line with the Maharashtra government's notification released on Monday regarding the change in the Eid holiday.
Extending the previous day's rally, the 30-share BSE Sensex surged 499.39 points or 0.79 per cent to settle at its life time closing high of 63,915.42 points.
The 30-share BSE index zoomed 466.95 points or 0.74 percent to settle at a record closing high of 63,384.58. During the day, it rallied 602.73 points or 0.95 percent to 63,520.36.
Going ahead, stronger inflows from the mutual fund space in equities are expected on positive macro numbers and the current fair value of Nifty, Feroze Azeez, Deputy CEO of Anand Rathi Wealth, said.
Stock Market Updates: The March investment was mainly driven by bulk investment in the Adani Group companies by the US-based GQG Partners.
During the day, it rallied 604.61 points or 0.98 per cent to 61,797.91.
